The Women of Paint it Forward
These women bring different perspectives to the table, but are united by a love for purposeful work; supporting women and girls through equity, empowerment and philanthropy
Ennie Lim
Ennie Lim is a serial entrepreneur and the CEO and founder of Kina. Her last startup, HoneyBee, was a financial wellness platform where 90% of users were women, most of them teachers. 77% of all K-12 teachers in America are women, rising to 89% in elementary schools. This makes teaching one of the most female-dominated and undervalued professions in the country.
That insight followed her into motherhood. When her son started preschool, she watched his teacher pour everything into her classroom and realized the system offered almost nothing in return.
That moment led her to build Kina, a community platform that bridges the appreciation gap between families and the teachers who shape their children's lives, giving teachers a way to share classroom wish lists and receive meaningful support from the families they serve.
Today she joins us to talk about building companies rooted in purpose, listening to the communities hidden in plain sight, and what it means to build for women.
